The tomato is one of the most versatile and important food and is the backbone of the Italian cooking.
Sun dried tomatoes were created to extend the use of the product, giving to each family, the pleasure to keep the taste of summer the whole year. Our producers most advanced technologies allow the product to keep, once dried, a brilliant red colour and to remain soft and tasty for months.
After three year of research our producers, Fiordelisi, have introduced a unique new product, the Perinos, a baby semidried skin-off tomato, with exciting organoleptic characteristics, with an intense and brilliant red colour, firm pulp and sweet taste. It is a low calories product, rich of sugar, mineral salts and antioxidant substances such as licopene, beta-carotene and vitamin C.
Excellent to be eaten of their own, all sun dried and semidried tomatoes are excellent with bread for a tasty snack or as a delicious dressing with fresh Mediterranean salad, with mozzarella, eggs and, once soaked in hot water until soft, added to sauces, stews and stuffings.
