The intense ruby color of this wine distinguishes one of the favorite table wines from Piedmont, where Dolcetto grapes are cultivated in all counties. Despite the fact that dolce means "sweet" in Italian, this wine is dry, elegantly full-bodied and harmoniously tannic. Dolcetto is produced in the hills near Alba (Cuneo, Piedmont) and is renowned among tasters and Italian consumers. To savor with cheeses and cured meat, mushrooms and vegetables. Try with risottos, ravioli, polenta and red or white meat.

Grape variety
100% Dolcetto grapes.

Growing location
Only vineyards in the hills near Alba, in the province of Cuneo, southwestern Piedmont. Clay, fertile soil.

Vinification
· Grapes are harvested by hand in ca 2 weeks; Dolcetto is a grape variety that survives the first frost and ripens before other wine grape types;
· Must of Dolcetto grapes ferments naturally; then it is put into casks; dolcetto wine quality is always high, despite bad years.
· This wine can be appreciated both recently bottled (even less than 5 months) and "Superiore" (aged more than 1 year).

Color
Deep ruby with purplish nuances.

Bouquet and alcohol rate
Dry aromas of cherry and almonds; ca 12-12,5%.

Taste and serving temperature
Full-bodied, dry, intense wine, with almond-like nuances, rich in tannin; ca 16-18°C.
