Grape Variety: Barbera.
Barbera is the traditional red table wine of the Monferrato area. This wine is full-bodied and may be fresh and sparkling. Barbera grape must can be added to other local grape varieties, depending on the year.
To accompany tasty main courses, risottos, polenta, cured meat, cheeses, roasted meat, grilled sausages.
Grape variety
Ca 85-100% Barbera grape; a variable rate (typically less than 15%) of Freisa, Grignolino and/or Dolcetto grapes.
Growing location
Vineyards facing south in the Monferrato hills near Asti, southern Piedmont; chalky and clay soil.
Vinification
· Grapes are harvested by hand when ripe (first half of October);
· Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at constant temperature.
· Aging in oak medium-size casks for about 1 year and in bottles for about 2 months before distribution.
Color
Deep ruby with glints of purple.

Pure fragrance of ripe fruit and berries; ca 12-13,5%.
Taste and serving temperature
Full-bodied, slightly fruity, with velvety nuances, rich in tannin; ca 16-18°C.
